New Aquatic Surface Receives an A+ in Design and Safety

When the students at Texas Tech are looking to unwind from their arduous study sessions, they step out of their dorms and head to the country’s largest college campus leisure pool.

Completed in 2009, The Texas Tech Student Leisure Pool boasts a 645ft long lazy river that winds its way around a splash pad, sun decks, lap pool, and more. While the success of the pool has brought upwards of 70,000 visitors, in both students and surrounding community members, some of the more popular areas began to present some issues. The concrete proved difficult to repair and maintain in certain spots and after much wear, an upgrade in aesthetics was desired.

By working with Inside Edge Safety Surfaces and Life Floor, the Facilities team at Texas Tech was able to meet all of their needs with just one phone call. From planning, to design, and material management to installation, the team at Inside Edge was able to handle all of Texas Tech’s needs and provide a custom design that improved the overall look, safety, and future maintenance needs of the facility. Not to mention, you can’t miss the Raider’s pride in the vibrant Double T!
